This morning, we have the immense joy of welcoming Pi Ja Ma as our guest. She shares with us some of her best gems that will surely put a smile on your face and accompany you on a Sunday made just for you. Let the music play, enjoy a comforting breakfast as the vibes take you, and let’s go for a walk all day guided only by music and the deep feeling of presence that emanates from the simple things around you.
Pi Ja Ma’s selection
ImaCrea’s selection
Pi Ja Ma - Chiale
ImaCrea: ” I discovered Pi Ja Ma with this track; the video is great. I instantly loved the atmosphere and the joyous vibe she brings to her music. The softness of her voice and the apparent innocence of the childlike and simple melodies contrast with her light-hearted lyrics about vulnerability, failure, and the disconnection of our all-digital, individualistic era; the result is perfectly balanced. Her debut album Magnetofille is a beautiful gem. It feels like a new genre that could only have emerged in recent years, a truly contemporary and inspiring work that invites us to remember that joy and love remain, and always will be, our best remedy for hope. “
Alice - La fête est nulle
ImaCrea: ” Friday night, driving in Paris, barely seeing through the rain-streaked glass. His heart is heavy; I guess he wishes this brief trip could have lasted longer, but now it’s time to go back home. I put Pi Ja Ma on the radio, and then Pierre-Benjamin suggests this track. It matched the moment perfectly, and we arrived home with smiles on our faces. “
World Brain - Minute papillon
ImaCrea: ” Just been a while since I last listened to World Brain, whom I was so happy to invite on our episode 435 back in 2021. His latest album, Open Source, is a great joy I definitely recommend. This track comes from it, and I felt it was perfect to keep the vibe of this selection. I love Noémie Chantre’s voice and these poetic lyrics. “
Musique Chienne, Earth Dad - Regular Times
ImaCrea: ” And so I remembered about Musique Chienne’s music, whom Inès invited back in 2018 for our 296th episode. We had the chance back then to invite her to a MailTape Live session on Le Barboteur’s boat in Pantin, a great moment. And so I discovered this recent work I could find on her bandcamp’s profile and I love these new explorations! Wish there was more to listen to. ”
That’s all folks! Thanks for being with us <3 A great and warm thank to Pi Ja Ma for her lovely selection and music. Big cheers to Noémie Dijon for this amazing illustration based on a picture by Lola Dubas. See you and don’t forget to keep discovering new music!
